Over 11 million people view the "Blues" each year at airshows.

The team visits 50 thousand  people per show season (Mar-Nov) at schools and hospitals.

For consideration as a Blue Angels pilot, one must be career-oriented, carrier qualified, active duty, either a Navy or Marine tactical jet pilot with a minimum of 1250 flight hours.  No special pay is received.  Just being a "Blue Angel" is honor enough.

Fastest speed flown during the airshow is 700 mph (just below Mach 1), slowest speed flown is 120 mph.
